So I had a student send me a completely unexpected gift and I've got to tell you, I was pretty floored and excited. I a big fan of art as I was quite into drawing in the past, but it's generally not something I would buy for myself. So when Jim send my this print of Stevie Ray Vaughan I was so happy. I put it up in the studio/office so SRV can watch over me as I practice and create lessons. :D Do you have any guitar related artwork that you love? Guitars included.

Not really. I’m too busy practicing and having fun playing. Earlier this year I download SRV top hits to my iPhone and listen to it regularly. Last year I read biography “Texas Flood”; based on your recommendation. Really enjoyed it. Back in February I attended a Joe Bonamassa concert and his keyboardist was played with SRV. Pretty cool.
"I’m too busy practicing and having fun playing." Love it!! Also, that Joe Bonamassa concert sounds like it was amazing.
Wow love it! What an awesome gift! Especially with Stevie Ray Vaughan being one of my very favorite guitar players! Very cool!
As for me, I recently had my print of Jimi Hendrix framed for my office/study room as well! Also to inspire and watch over me while I do my daily guitars studies. Now as soon as I see it walking into the room, I just have to pick up my guitar! :-)
PS - Stevie Ray Vaughan will be next for surer! ha! lol
@J.Rod Oh yeah! I remember seeing that on your facebook or somewhere else and being really impressed/jealous. :) Thats's so cool.
Yes and thanks @Nate. Then we're even, cause I was also "really impressed/jealous" when I saw that really cool SRV print you just received! ha! Was so happy for you when I read about it, and definitely well deserved! :-)
One of my favorite artists that does portraits of rock legends is Monty Colvin. He also happens to be the bass player/singer for one of my favorite rock bands Galactic Cowboys (he does the artwork for their album covers too). https://www.montycolvinart.com
It's been fun to watch him get better and better over the years.
