Everyone loves a good love story. That's why we decided to share ours with you. Since we are starting the Guitar Fam from the ground up, we figured it would be fun to make a little video about how we met so you can get to know us a little better. It's a pretty fun tale, and there are a lot of musical themes and guitars involved. We hope you enjoy it. Give it a watch and let us know about your personal story so we can get to know you better too. It doesn't have to be a love story. It can be as simple as telling us a little bit about yourself and where you've come from in the "Introduce Yourself" thread here on the forum.

That is a wonderful story!
There is a slight similarity to the story of my wife an me. We also met in the internet. We were not musicians but both fascinated by music and the first chat we met was a radio chat in 1999. A few weeks after that we met in person on a concert in Hannover: Runrig "In Search Of Angels" Tour and in the following weeks/months I misunderstood or overlooked a lot of hints ... but finally in January 2001 the spark jumped over ;-)
We managed a lot of ups and downs and defeated a lot of health-problems. We always stuck together and music was a combining element. It might sound weird but I found a woman with whom I can listen to a complete Metallica album, fascinated, arm-in-arm on the sofa and without speaking a single word. ;-) We will never get too old to visit festivals and concerts. And if such an damn virus like in this years keeps us away from visiting concerts ... it cannot stop music, there are still Rock-am-Ring recordings and other concerts online!
Of course we also had our troubles (@Nate Savage perhaps you remember the discussion in guitareo how to combine family life with guitar-practice-time?) but small quarrels and their resolutions make life worth living!
We married in 2006, got our daughter in 2007 and seem to upgrade our life from year to year.
Keep music and family together, that's the key! :-)
This is so wonderful!! Thanks for sharing about your love story with your wife. I love how how music brings people together.
@Holger Strunk - Wow. I feel like I got to know you a little better Holger. Thanks for sharing this. In a day and age where it's becoming less and less common to even listen to a full album by yourself, it's pretty great to hear that you guys listen to full albums together. :D
Yes, I remember that conversation. This post gives me the warm fuzzy feelings Holger. Thanks so much.
