Hi all. It's Nate here and I just wanted to make a little post to let everyone know what the Guitar Foundations course is all about and who will benefit from it. I wanted the new Guitar Fam site to have a solid foundational course available to everyone so we could all be on the same page and have a place to get the fundamentals down. That's what Guitar Foundations is all about. It's for brand new beginners, those who are picking the guitar back up after not playing for a long time, and those who've tried to play guitar but feel like they've failed.
The main things that the course covers are the 8 basic open chords, strumming technique, basic bar chords, power chords, palm muting, tuning, timing, rhythm, changing strings, playing your first three songs, using a capo, changing chords smoothly, getting into the basics of lead guitar, and more. I figure that once you have these things down, you will ready to go in a more focused direction with any of the upcoming courses.
My goal is to make sure that nobody slips through the cracks and gives up on the guitar. If you put in the time, you can do it, and we are there to help or answer questions if you need us. Get started with Guitar Foundations here and get in touch with us if you need any help. firstname.lastname@example.org You can also book a private lesson with me when you need the next level of personal attention. The first one is complimentary.
