I'm sort of an older guy when it comes to playing guitar. This journey started in March of last year after my daughter and I went to see Amos Lee in New Orleans. As we were leaving some organization was raffling off a beautiful acoustic guitar. When I mentioned to my daughter how beautiful the instrument was she urged me to buy a raffle ticket, which I declined due to the fact that I didn't know how to play. Her response was "Dad, you're retired you can learn." So, a couple of days later I bought a cheap acoustic guitar. I have to admit that learning to play the guitar is every bit as challenging as advertised. But, hope springs eternal and thanks to Nate's teaching skills I am finally on the right track.

Hey Keith, thanks so much for sharing your guitar journey with us! We're so glad we can support and encourage you along the way.
It's amazing how live music can inspire us! Whenever I lose motivation, I hop on YouTube and watch a few live guitar performances and it re-energizes my enthusiasm.
Also, it sounds like you have a great cheerleader in your daughter!
Hey Keith, where on the Gulf Coast are you? I’m in Houston area 1/2 year.
David, I live on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
Hey Keith, Nice to see you here on the site! Just to brag on Keith a little bit... He's been taking private lessons with me for the past couple of months and he is making some great improvements in his playing! :D
