Another Guitar Epiphany.
Greetings. Sometimes a song comes into my head, and I get obsessed with learning it. I watch and listen to the performance on YouTube, go to Ultimate Guitar and print the tab, and start working on it. My current song's first measure has a G to Cadd9 progression. Now a G chord is a staple, but I don't play the Cadd9 nearly as much. And despite the shapes being identical, there remains a learning curve. So I'm practicing this transition painfully slow until the light bulb goes off: Both shapes can be played with 4 fingers! Better still, fingers three and four are stationery on the B and high E strings, making for as simple a guitar transition as one could hope for: moving fingers 1 and 2 just one string up. Now I'm playing full speed, and singing along, and the R&R dream has begun-
Love it! I actually like the Cadd9 sound even more than the regular C so I use it as much as I can (as long as it suits the songs of course). So glad to see you've added it to your arsenal!
