On Instagram, I have done a a couple of 1 riff a day challenges where you post a short video of your playing each day. When I did those challenges, I usually posted what I was working on at the moment. In my playing, I have mainly focused on chords, techniques or learning whole songs. I have noticed other players will be a lot more improvisational and make up short riffs to post. I have realized that in my playing I don't really come up with riffs. How do you come up with riffs? I have realized this may be a hole in my playing.
