Week 3: 5/3/25
This week we review many of the topics from previous weeks related to our Major and Minor Arpeggios. We will add in the 7th scale degree to our arpeggios and learn the basic shapes of the Pentatonic Scale. We will learn two riffs using these shapes, Tom Petty's Honey Bee and Peter Frampton's Do You Feel Like We Do.

Week 4: 5/10/25
This week we take an introductory look at modes and how they relate to the Pentatonic scale. We review the basic pentatonic shapes we learned last week and learn how to navigate them horizontally to recreate the 5 Pentatonic box patterns. We also add another Pentatonic riff to our repertoire, Led Zeppelin's "Black Dog"

Week 5: 5/17/25
NOTE: Despite the "this meeting is now being recorded" announcement, the Zoom session did not record for some reason. This week was short, and covered connecting the Pentatonic shapes up and down the fretboard... the slides should be fairly clear, but leave a message if you have any questions...

Week 6: 5/24/25
This week steps out of the comfort zone of Pentatonic and takes a look at using the full minor scale.

@Jason Smith
Jason, I really DO appreciate you posting this info. Dispite my expectations otherwise, I was unable to make any of the Saturday zoom sessions, family effects (and drama, it's gotten strange) eclipsed my best efforts to attend. As a side note, the Slide Decks that you have posted, are excellent, clear, and understandable for me. After the Strummming Live sessions, I looped around and started walking thru Blueshound, slowly. Lost about a month mid march to mid april (reasons), but back at it.. With the Song collaboration set with Tequilla Sunrise, added that to the routines, along with a short course I have for reading music on guitar (I learned when I was about 14, but then I discovered tab and SCHAZAM, gone lol) would be useful for my extra curricular work with singing Choir (being classed as a tenor, the scale is correct for guitar as well, drop 8, notes are an octave lower than written for tenor voice, as it is for guitar).
Saw something about Streets of London, Andy posted somewhere else today. I learned that piece in key of C last May as part of another fingerpicking course I own and completed (and then apprently proceeded to forget it again D'oh!). I'm going to revive it, and HOPEFULLY post a video of some version of it by either June (prefereably) or July monthly hangout. At least that's the goal. Neat thing about the piece, the main progression is quite similar to Pachebal's Canon in D, so kind of an opportunity to learn both pieces lol.
Anyway, best laid plans and all that lol. I >really< appreciate this effort of yours publishing this info, great resource!!!
Ever Onward!
