Live Performance without the Stress
So I think I have figured out how to get past the dreaded fear of performing live.
I have been performing weekly (when in Texas) at an Assisted Living Facilty for the past year now; my first Mother-In-Law lives there. There is absolutely no pressure to be perfect or even good. They all simply appreciate someone spending the time and brightening their day.
I have been playing freshly new learned songs there first because it is an accepting crowd even when I mess up.
I’ve noticed my nervousness has decreased recently at Open Mics and I believe this is the reason.
It’s a win-win situation for everyone.
Today Santa substituted for me playing Christmas songs. They were singing along and loving it.

That's it! You need to create alter egos for all of your performances. I can't wait!
But seriously. This is great David. Thank you so much for doing this and sharing it. It's important to give back to our communities.
