Tips on pinky strength/accuracy
Hello everyone.
I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to improve the strenght and accuracy of your pinky on the fretting hand?
Daily practices with chords and switching between chords really help, I can definitely see some improvement, but the struggle comes when I have to use my pinky.
Unfortunately, for a grown man my hands are tiny, well relatively I guess, but in my eyes they never grew bigger than they were when I was 16 years old. Due to this my pinky is, as you can imagine, quite small and is always out of control with zero accuracy or strenght.
I can play the same chord like 100 times in a row and the pinky will always miss. Any tips or advice is much appreciated, totally don't mind grinding and focus on the pinky for weeks, since it seems that now it really starts to hold me back with my progress. On the other hand, literally, when fingerpicking the little one is always on point, no complaints.
Thank you in advance. Cheers
Artem
@Nate Savage excercises i found very useful and help a good bit. I also do some spider drills as follows:
