Practicing with a dog in the house ๐Ÿ˜ญ

I have an exotic bully dog who thinks he is my shadow. When I practice guitar he jumps on me and gets his face in mine.

He doesn't like it, perhaps it hurts his ears.

Several times he warned me by leaving deep teeth marks on my shoes or anything of mine.

I'm not crazy about headphones.

I don't like playing in low volume as if to entertain ants.

Today my dog damaged the guitar cable. I think he'll pee on my amp next.

How do you handle practicing with pets in the house? I have a backyard but the hot Miami heat makes it unbearable.

I feel like renting a U-haul truck and practice inside of it. But my available practicing time is unpredictable so that'll be too costly.

Acoustic guitar players don't have this issue, fortunately for them, but when it comes to electric guitar, that's a different issue.

I thought of selling the dog, but not everyone willing to pay $10k which is cheap for a similar dog.

Hum, if the dog goes so does the GF.

Brad Paisley (Country music) has a song "I'm gonna miss her" that may apply here as well. Man has to have his priorities straight. ๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿ˜† ๐Ÿ˜
