I have been focusing on fingerstyle guitar since the fall of 2022 with the goal of having a list of songs that I can sing and play for my own personal enjoyment and for anybody else who wants to listen. Singing and getting comfortable with my own voice is an ongoing journey.

I have just started the Fingerstyle Masterclass and one of my goals is to learn to play with a thumbpick. Using a thumbpick has been a challenge so I thought this would be a great way to start from scratch and work my way through the course learning proper technique.

In this space I will post the songs I'm working on and I'm excited to see how they will evolve over time. Note that I often use a capo and experiment with different song keys to suit my voice.

In a year from now I would like to look back to see songs played crisply with good technique, in steady tempo, and with confident vocals.
