I just viewed Nate's "guitar death theory" video and as usual he did a fantastic job. After the viewing I revisited my 2023 goals. I think it's safe to say I did not accomplish any of them not because I didn't try. Rather I simply was pysically unable to play after May of last year. After visits to orthepedists and neurologists the cause of the left hand problems I experienced was discovered. Without going into any details suffice it to say that I have limited mobility in my left hand, which makes it extremely difficult to do anything on the guitar. Currently I hold out hope that I can pick up the guitar again but as of today (Jan. 11, 2024) I can barely make a D chord. If things improve I will literally have to start over. But as long as I have such limited mobility and dexterity in my left hand I am pretty much unable to play. So my overarching goal for 2024 is to be able to form and to make chord changes.
