Started the 3 song challenge in January 2023 and wanted to document here the songs I am learning:

1. Dust in the Wind by Kansas. goal is to play with the jam track at full speed.

2. In Christ Alone: a contemporary hymn by Getty & Townend for which I am creating a unique guitar accompaniment. Goal is to play and sing this in my church.

3. Freight Train by Elizabeth Cotten: my later in the year challenge after I build my fingerstyle skills on the first two.

4. Little Martha by Duane Allman: my challenge song for the year in an alternate tuning. Also, a back up if I get sick of one of the others.

Plan to post a video once I can play one well enough that I don't say naughty words throughout the performance. Probably a good skill to build before playing in church too, eh? Thanks for reading this and for any encouragement along the journey.
