Chelsea's Guitar Progress
I've been meaning to start my own progress thread for a while!
My favourite way to make progress on the guitar is to either write a song using whatever I'm learning or film a YouTube cover video. I'm working a couple YouTube covers right now where I play a few different overlapping parts. They are... *gasp*... pop songs. Yes, this is my official confession to my Guitar Fam that I'm a pop music fan. LOL!
Anyway, I figured I'd start my progress journal with a song I posted in 2020 to give you an idea of what I'm working on for future videos. This was my first time playing bass.
I also filmed "Happy" by Pharrell Williams recently, so that will be up soon. (Actually, I should say WE filmed it because Nate is the one behind the camera.)
The songs I'm currently working on are "Smile" by Katy Perry, "Gravity" by John Mayer and the horn riff from my own song "Face the Waves" (which I'll be playing on electric because bringing a marching band on tour with me is really expensive 😆). I usually prefer to only have two songs on the go, but I figured adding in a short riff was doable for my brain.
Congratulations @Chelsea Amber !
I know you and @Nate Savage have worked so hard on this project and the fruits of you labours is a fantastic, inspiring piece of music.
I love it!
