I haven't been that active on the Guitar Fam site for some time because of other priorities, but I have been continuing my guitar journey. In fact, I just finished a complete review of the Bar Chord Master Class and the Free Introduction to the CAGED course on the Guitar Fam site.

In addition, for the past 1 1/2 years, I have been taking 1:1 in-person lessons. That has been very helpful. My concentration initially was to learn SONGS, SONGS and more SONGS. But, have learned a whole lot more including a good routine of practising every day, reading, key signatures, rhythm,timing, intro to lead and so on. I am still very much a beginner however but perhaps, a little bit better of a beginner than I was a 1 1/2 years ago.

I think there may be a live session this week, I will try to join.

March 3, 2025:

As I've previously mentioned, I was taking 1:1 in person lessons with another great teacher, Eric Ross. His background is JAZZ but moved here from Wisconsin and is teaching here in Ottawa. I like his approach. Much like Nate and Chelsea, he is a great teacher. I have built a lot more confidence working with him. I have learned /been exposed to new tools like GarageBand, IRealPro and using YouTube to learn new songs, the fretboard, 7th chords, diatonic scales and so much more. At the same time, I have been trying to work on the Strumming Dr. course, continue the CAGED course and still have not even started the FingerStyle Course that I purchased a long time ago. Hence, I have put my 1:1 in person lessons on pause until the summer or fall to purchase on the GuitarFam stuff and participate more actively on the LiveStreams etc. I guess time will tell if it's the right approach or not. 😉
