Sunday at the coffee shop jam session
Well I’ve been attending the jam sessions for a tille while now. I quite enjoy the experience of playing with others. You never know who’s going to show up. Sometimes it’s a few, sometimes 6 or 7. Typically local musicians who perform at various venues in the area. So to say the least as a beginner I find it a little intimidating at times. I rely heavily on my iPad for chords and lyrics but hopefully I can become less reliant on it as time passes. A few of the other guitarists have their song committed to memory. Very impressive indeed.
So this day, February 23 my wife took a short video. I played about 6 songs. They all need polishing but that’ll come.
I need to learn more songs as going to the jam sessions without anything new gets tired.
So here goes, my first clip.
Thank you
Way to go, Wayne!! So exciting to see you in action at the coffee shop. You said you felt intimidated but it looks like you held your own and fit right in. Playing with other people more experienced than you is one of the best ways to improve and stay motivated.
