Hello from West Georgia! I've been searching for a while to find a place where I can improve my guitar playing and I am hopeful that this is the place. I am once again playing the acoustic guitar and leading worship in a small country church but I want to increase my talent beyond the basic strumming and few chords that I have learned. Don't get me wrong, I love playing and singing the songs from the Old Redback Hymnal (Pathway Press - Church Hymnal) but I also desire to play more contemporary music and be flexible enough to switch between playing Hymns and Modern Worship. I want to add fingerstyle playing to my worship repertoire.

My own preference in music rarely has me listening to the Old Country and Bluegrass that my playing and singing most closely mimics. I prefer select CCM artists (Third Day, Audio Adrenaline, Matt Maher, We the Kingdom and similar) but love Heavy Metal that has a positive message rather than a negative one (Tourniquet, Disciple, TFK, and Skillet). I hope one day to be able to play an electric guitar well enough to shred some metal melodies and would love to learn the Heavy Metal crunch.

Hopefully, I'll get to know many of you well and we can encourage one another in our journey to master the mystery that is the guitar.
