I'm a big Yamaha fan; to me they consistently perform in a league with higher priced brands, and you know who they are. This series plays off the Yamaha Red Label that goes back to 1966. Understated vintage look, but upgraded with the technology of today. Manufactured in Japan and always difficult to get. When Sweetwater got some in stock, I pulled the trigger. Had them set it up with low action, and babying it with humidifier and storing in case. I love and play all my guitars, but this one feels a step up in quality, finish and sound.
