they're in stock! mine should be arriving early next week. i have some vacation coming up, so i'll be playing around and recording some songs. i primarily use linux... i'll provide updates in a week or two w/ any linux driver issues, etc.

i waited for the 4i4, b/c it's not much more than the 2i2, but the extra inputs mean being able to either record vocals w/ wet-dry-wet guitar, or dual amp stereo wet-dry-dry-wet. a needed a simple dac to handle the xlr out from my mesa boogie cab clone... i'm using the ir+ model b/c i got an early 2000's tube amp, so i need to load the amp if i want to use headphones or bring the amp down to a level that won't violate sound ordinances.

i'm curious to hear what everyone uses...
