Today I decided to try my hand at writing a blues song that goes with the jam track for the Blues Hound course and I learned a lot. What @Nate pointed out was that I approached it like a poet (packing in lots of lines and creative language) when blues songs usually have simple lines and often lots of space between the lines for guitar solos and riffs. While I'm not sold on what I wrote today, I plan to revisit the song again after my songwriting challenge is done to simplify everything.
