folk vs classical

it seems that as i bring my wrist down from classical to a folk position, the joint responsible for doing most of the heavy lifiting shifts from the 3rd joint at the base for classical to the 2nd join in the middle for folk. the first joint also seems to get more active the more i lower my wrist. i can feel the difference in the top of my hand.

you discussed the accuracy differences, but what about speed and endurance? it seems that classical style might edge out folk in both of those categories. thoughts?

thanks! i will work on lilting my wrist a little bit on classical style... right now it sags a bit and i want to correct this before it becomes too engrained... just wanted to confirm it was worth the effort, and it sounds like there are payoffs to the proper form.
