So fun! Nate and I will be tied up at the beginning of it, but hopefully we'll be able to catch the tail end. How long will you be jamming for?
@Chelsea Amber about an hour or so. Hope y’all can make it.
BTW, since Nate is originally from Texas does he say y’all?
Ok great! We'll do our best to tune in. :)
I hear him say "y'all" sometimes, particularly when he's talking to his family, but he doesn't say it nearly as often as one would expect. I think he's been Canadianized a little bit after living here for 11 years. However, I'm still waiting for him to say "eh". Hasn't happened yet.
Alrighty then.Had a good time jamming. I did learn somethings as well:
Don’t change keys and/or tunings the day of performance.
I tend to rush the songs; therefore I’m in the process of looking up tempo of each song, adding the metronome feature and having a click in my ear when playing.
Keep mouth in front of and close to the mic at all times.
My singing actually sounds better than I thought after listening to the recording. Maybe it’s the sound system making me better?
Need to start drinking the RUM sooner. 😂
i wish I knew a professional christian artist to help me out.
Professional Christian artist at your service! 😆
We were able to catch some of your live stream and we enjoyed it! Playing live and re-watching the performance is a fantastic way to accelerate the learning process. For me it's helped open my eyes to blind spots (i.e. trouble spots) I didn't realize were there.
@David Lieder
So cool to see that you're doing live jams sessions from your jam cave! Very cool! Definitely a great way to help to take you playing to the next level for sure. I totally agree with @Chelsea on with reviewing your performances, and lucky for you she's a bonafide Christian recording artist who can help on that end as well.
Also I see you already have a list of things you already learned from it all which is great! So much I learn when I record videos of myself playing as well so I can relate.
That said, wishing all the best with your guitar progress, live jam sessions and all else!
