Squier Jazzmasters

I currently own 2 Epiphone acoustic guitar which I really enjoy. I've played a few Fender and Squier Stratocasters that friends and family have owned; but I've never bought an electric guitar myself. As I've been researching numerous styles and models, I've become a big intrigued with the Squier Jazzmaster line. I was reading that Fender initially hoped to attract more jazz and blues players to try this guitar over the hollow bodies that they often prefer. While it wasn't a huge success with that market, it was a major success with the surf players and bands in the 60's. What I like about it is that you got 2 single coil almost P90 style pickups. When you play on the bridge you can get a twangy tone that is very similar to a Telecaster. I think the guitar excels in the middle and neck with bright but also warmer clean tones. I also like that it has a tremelo bar like a Stratocaster which is great for surf and rockabilly sounds. For the type of music I like (classic rock, rockabilly, surf, and country) I think it works well and has a lot of versatility.

Just would like to hear the thoughts of other people that maybe own or have played a Jazzmaster or similar guitar. I've never actually played this model, but I like what I'm seeing about it online.

Yeah, there's no rush! I really like my gold strat, but lately I've been playing the Epiphone ES339 Nate picked up from Facebook marketplace because I'm working on a BB King tune.
