Hi fam,
If you want to play fingerstyle guitar and see the regular progress you’re craving, I truly believe there are certain songs you just have to learn.
In this latest video, I share the four songs I consider the most important for developing the core coordination and fundamentals of fingerstyle guitar.
These songs do such an amazing job building your foundation that it’s honestly a disservice to yourself not to learn them.
Give the video a watch, and feel free to chime in with songs you think are must-knows for fingerstyle guitar.
See you later,
Nate

Thumb bootcamp is a good tool to go back on from time to time. Working thru it. Thanks!

Can't wait for the group zooms. I was originally just going to learn some fingerstyle on the side, but it became an obsession that I've focused on for a couple of years.
I highly recommend tackling a challenging fingerstyle song and sticking with it for 1 to 2 years... it's a big commitment, but you will improve by leaps and bounds. keep practicing a song long after you THINK you've learned it, and you'll discover a whole new level of perfection to chase.
I will need to take a stab at some of the songs on Nate's list. they are outside my normal genre, which is good for getting out of my comfort zone. I'm more of a nylon guitar…
@Nate Savage, I’m having trouble finding Freight Train on the site. Would you direct me to where it is please? Thanks!
Ok, I surrender. I rededicate my guitar life to learning these pieces. The Bach minuet is a surprise and an interesting challenge... and maybe a good excuse for buying a classical guitar. See you in Bootcamp.
