"The Thrill Is Gone"
Hi fam,
I’m happy to put this guitar lesson video up for you today. It’s the long overdue intro solo for the legendary B.B. King song “The Thrill Is Gone”. Of course, the TAB and jam track are available for you.
There are only two minor pentatonic scale shapes used throughout this entire solo, and they are both here on the page for you. The video goes over those scales and the chord shapes I’m thinking about as the progression plays.
This solo also brings up an opportunity to talk about an important concept for getting into blues lead guitar. It’s called B.B.’s Box, and the two examples we talk about in the lesson are on this page too.
Give this solo a shot, and let us know how it goes. You can send in questions or a video of yourself playing to support@guitarfam.com.
Have fun!
Nate
Wow, wow, wow !!! Exactly the first song I always wanted to learn for thousand years but never had the time to put the effort, nor did I find such a great lesson as this in the past
..... I am truly overjoyed with excitement and can't wait to jump in.
Thank you, Nate ... I appreciate the effort and time and expense you devoted to share this lesson with the world.
