The New Personal Progress Journal
Hi all, Welcome to the new Personal Progress Journal Page. I know this portion of the site/forum is very important for the community, so I wanted to pin a post here to clarify how to use the new version.
All you have to do is go to the forum tab at the top of the site. From there, click on "2 Your Personal Progress Journal". From there, use the search bar to look for the name of your progress thread. I search for "Nate Savage's Guitar Progress Journal". I click on my journal, and then I can make a new post. I know it's different, but it's really easy once you get used to it.
Hope this helps, Nate

is there a way to change how the forum posts are ordered in the group? i think one of the biggest changes is that in the old forum the posts were ordered by "most recent activity" and now they are by "newest post". this means old journals get buried and it may be easy to miss updates in other's journals.
also, it would be nice to be able to search for all posts by member... i think the old interface supported that, but i can't find how to do it in the groups.
i notice that searching by my name doesn't bring up my posts... it has to be text in the title or post, not member name or comments. e.g., to find my 2025 goals, i had to search on goals, not my name.
instead of treating each post as a journal with each comment as a page, i think i'm going to treat each post as a journal entry and string the entries together into a journal with #hashtags... even if hashtags no long work, they should still be searchable so i can find all the posts related to my progress.
this might be a better approach with the new group mechanism as only the media files from the original post, not comments, show up in the group's media tab. if each new update is a new post, then updates won't get buried, the media tab will reflect all progress videos, and it should make journals load faster... the only downside is that to locate your old entries you will need to search on a a unique hashtag that you add to each entry.
