@David - I noticed your pinky-anchor and I'm glad that it works for you. Many guitarists use it. My hand is simply too small to do that. In addition, when first learning classical guitar techniques, my instructor, Allen Matthews, insisted on not using an anchor so I became accustomed to the 'float.' Whatever works for each person!
