"Have You Ever Seen the Rain"

Hi fam,

Hope you’re doing well this week. We are happy to share the latest Easy Song Lesson with you. This time we are taking on the CCR song “Have You Ever Seen the Rain."

This one is fairly easy to jump into because you only need four chords and one strumming pattern to get through this entire song. You can keep it easy with these foundational elements, but I’ll also show you a few more intermediate strumming patters and a walkdown you can use to make your playing sound more like the original recording.

As usual, we have the guitarless jam track and the chord chart for you to download. Give this one a whirl, and let us know if you have any suggestions for future Easy Song Lessons.

Thanks,
Nate & Chelsea

i haven't work on any strumming... this seems like a good one to work into the practice routine... when are the submissions due?

Great lesson......I have always liked this song. I never realized there were complex issues within the band which led to their break up....Have you Ever Seen The Rain is apparently a reflection of the uneasiness within the group at the time. It is a good song to learn and play. CCR had a very special sound creating a mood that is reminiscing of the era.

This is a great lesson. It really makes things clear on how to play this terrific song.

And as always, Chelsea’s vocal is a killer.

I’m in for the collaboration!

Me too Jim, I’m game for this one. Polish up the nasty F chord.
